In actuality, Phoenix is very mortal. Over 500 years of life on Earth, his study of the Soulan way of life has allowed him to slow the aging process and thwart the hormonal mechanism that triggers cellular death. However, he recognizes the truth of his mortality and feels blessed to have lived such a long and fruitful life.
He is one of the most jovial Soulan warriors, possessed of an inspiring spirit. His wisdom and understanding of Soulan tradition gives him the power to communicate and teach on multiple sensory levels.
