"For some life is a gift. For others, it’s a nightmare."
The Repulsives are not traditional heroes. They are scorned outcasts from society and have been deemed monsters. Ugly, misunderstood, and hated, they are constantly on the run from police obsessed with their arrest and scientists who want to study and experiment on them. All they want is freedom and a normal life.
The moral of our story – don’t judge a book by its cover – only scratches the surface of our ominous friends. They are firm believers in forgiveness and try to accept that people have a hard time seeing past outward appearances. Despite the name-calling and finger pointing, the Repulsives always go out of their way to help others. Several of them have had the opportunity to change their appearance through experimental surgery, but they have decided to stick together and face the trials of life as the men they were born.
